One of our members has now moved further afield, and does not have the opportunity to fly at the club so frequently. He has decided to sell some of his equipment. The Lansdown Model Flying Club AGM 2009 was held on the 6th December at Weston Ex-Service Mans Club, in Weston, Bath. The turn-out was excellent, and a good debate was had by all. The field is now available to all members for Sunday flying. Previously the site has been available for electric flight only but with immediate effect the field will be available for electric and all powered air craft.  PLEASE FIT SUITABLE PROP AND SILENCER Club rules apply for maximum number of planes in the air. The clubs annual awards were made at our 2007 AGM held at he Weston Working Mens Club in Bath. LMFC member, John Pascoe was awarded the Clubman of the Year Shield at the clubs Annual Mince Pie and Mulled Wine flying day. John has been a member of LMFC for the last 2 years and has been a regular at the field on Saturdays and Thursday flying days. The LMFC Committee recently agreed to purchase from club funds 3 J. Perkins THRUSH powered gliders. These gliders will be available for any club member (subject to certain safety restrictions) to fly at our field for pleasure or competition flying. New junior club member Mitchell Lines took his A test on Sunday at his other model flying club and becomes the 3rd junior member in our club to hold a BMFA A licence qualification. Congratulations to Peter Short who took his A test for the first time in late May. 12 year old Peter took the test under the strict guidelines set by the BMFA and certified by club examiner Phil Crouch.
