Lansdown Model Flying Club was formed by a few like minded members in 2000 and have been flying from the official Club Site at Lansdown North Playing Field, Bath, North Somerset.

The club has grown to a membership of over 40 individuals including a healthy junior section. Membership is available to anyone - there isn’t any age or physical limitation to becoming a member. The LMFC membership fee covers one calendar year, January to end December, although reductions are generally available for members joining late in the year. A Membership Application Form can be found elsewhere on this site. Please contact the Membership Secretary for the current fee.

The club flies most disciplines of fixed wing model aircraft. I.C., Electric, Silent flight and Gliders. We meet on a Saturday mornings between 10.30 am and 1.30pm all year round. During the summer months we meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm. Several members also fly during the mornings/afternoons during the week. The club has several BMFA approved instructors and an examiner.

Members represent all ages and all abilities and are all a friendly, helpful bunch of enthusiasts.

Renewals for membership are now being taken. Membership fees have been reduced, but there is a small increase in the BMFA fees. Please return your form with fees during January. Any membership not renewed by 1st February shall be deemed to have lapsed. Members are required to join the BMFA as a condition of membership. On payment of the fees, a BMFA certificate will be issued along with club rules.

Monday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Tuesday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Tuesday eve' : 5pm – 8pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is TWO)
Wednesday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Thursday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Thursday eve' : 5pm- 8pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is TWO)
Friday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Saturday : 10am – 5pm (maximum 2-strokes flying is THREE)
Sunday : ELECTRIC AND QUIET 4 STROKES ONLY

ELECTRIC AND SILENT FLIGHT AIRCRAFT HAVE NO TIME RESTRICTIONS

Four–stroke powered models can fit into the above as long as the maximum number of models in the air is NOT EXCEEDED (FIVE). Electric and silent flight also restricted to max 5 (five) at any time.
