Lansdown Model Flying Club

Saturday 11th February is the 1st show of 2012 in the South West's model enthusiasts' calendar, with over 2,000 visitors, clubs and traders expected to attend. Lansdown Model Flying Club members have over a number of years been invited to exhibit aircraft on static display and this year is no exception.

As usual the February show is biased more towards Airfix / Plastic models although boats, figures, tanks and dioramas are also being exhibited. Airfix will run a 'Make & Paint' workshop and sponsor competitions designed to recognise high achievement in modelling across all disciplines. So bring along your best models and you could walk away with a prize!

Weather permitting the highlight of the Show will be a radio controlled flying display. The line-up for the display is not yet confirmed however previous years have seen the 1/2 Scale Clipped Wing Cub along with other large scale aircraft, jet powered model aircraft, gliders and a model helicopter stunt team taking to the skies.
